NCOSE/TraffickingHub 's Campaign to promote bank discrimination against sex workers

Disclaimer: that what I post here is my opinion and based on my personal experience etc.

This is a work in process, I’m still working on adding more.

Please be aware that if you bring up their ties, or anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ, actions, views, etc, or call them out on their bigotry, they will

(A) Deny it

(B) Threaten you with lawsuits/ whatever else they can

(C) Demand that you delete anything critical of them

(D) Ignore you

They don’t fight for marginalized people, they fight to maintain the system that benefits them, and exploits others.

NCOSE, the Lawyers behind TraffickingHub, and lawyers representing Rose Kalemba have been sending letters and starting campaigns to eliminate sex workers online, recently they wrote a letter to all major banks/cards to stop processing payments for anyone making adult content. It should be noted the BBC has been publishing a lot of favorable and misleading pieces about TraffickingHub. For example, in a recent piece on this letter to credit card companies, BBC introduces it as “A letter seen by the BBC” implying that they got exclusive access to it. They didn’t cite the letter, despite copy and pasting everyone that signed it, and citing a few things in the letter. The letter is public. But because of BBC’s bad reporting ( the person who has been writing these pieces is Meha Mohan), other journalists will cite the BBC article which cherry picked parts of it, even though the letter itself is public and ANYONE CAN READ IT IN FULL.

With the money they got from the TraffickingHub Campaign, they now have enough money to expand operations, and have created The International Centre on Sexual Exploitation (ICOSE), who will have the same heads as NCOSE. In case, you wanted to know what they were doing with the money.

Denton founded the Coalition for Decency, which tried to clean up television by urging boycotts of sponsors that promoted sexual promiscuity.

As a Senator, Denton was most outspoken on issues related to the regulation of sexual promiscuity and the preservation of the nuclear family, a goal that he sought to pursue through a $30 million bill to push chastity among teenagers.[17] In 1981 he was able to pass the Adolescent Family Life Act (nicknamed the "Chastity Bill") as a part of the 1981 omnibus.

They run a social enterprise/neo-Magdalene asylums/labor sweatshops, where they put sex workers/trafficking victims to work. That’s their selling point of their store. The website it down as of May 7, 2020, but here’s a cache page of it.

SutiSana provides relief from prostitution for women in Bolivia through full-time employment, health benefits and holistic support. Founded in 2010, the social enterprise works in coordination with the Women’s Program for prostituted women to find stability and reach their full potential.

In 2017, they employed 12 women full time.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lb-Es0D1XcCl9qnBdVmyZsu46gxnRt6s/view?platform=hootsuite%EF%BB%BF

In 2019, they employed 13 women full time. Their revenue was $455,822

https://wordmadeflesh.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Annual-report-2019-11.pdf?ct=t(EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_9_10_2019_9_32_COPY_02)&mc_cid=66e3132987&mc_eid=eeefd14606

From a blog post I found from 2016 they say are employing 9 women, and they pay them $260 a month or $520 for two months of full-time work. The minimum wage is $260/month. The benefits are $160 a month or $320 for two months. It should be noted that it’s a labor law in Bolivia to pay workers a bonus of one month’s pay. They made 1.2 million in 2016. Considering that Bolivian economists put the living wage to be $511 a month, this isn’t very impressive. It’s even worse when you consider that this charity it asking people for money to be capitalists so they can “liberate” prostituted women.

$520 - December & January salary for 1 SutiSana artisan (9 women = $4,680 total)

$320 - December & January benefits for 1 SutiSana artisan (9 women = $2,880 total)

$260 - Christmas bonus for 1 SutiSana artisan (9 women = $2,340 total)

$55  - Christmas gift for 1 SutiSana artisan (9 women = $495 total)

On their GuideStar profile they claim that in 2018, they gave 125 children “services”, the services was to train the teens in making mats, pillows, cakes, and cleaning supplies.

This is their strategic plan for 2017-2020, most of it involves growing their store brand, business, and making sales.

Defend Dignity

CANADA

The American Decency Association

Part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (the C&MA)

The have years of child abuse history in Guinea, West Africa and ignored “reported systemic abuse including psychological abuse, excessive beating, sadistic dental practices performed without novocaine, sexual molestation, and rape” for a decade.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliance_World_Fellowship#cite_note-AGC-25

Founded in the 1880s, The Christian and Missionary Alliance is committed to Jesus and His mission. We are a group of approximately 440 local churches in Canada, and we send people to live on mission locally and globally. We aim to be a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, Mission-focused movement in everything that we do.

Defend Dignity acts as a catalyst for individuals and churches to end sexual exploitation in Canada. Commercial sexual exploitation includes: pornography, strip clubs, escorts, massage parlors and prostitution. All involve the selling of sexual services which undermine the dignity of women, men and children and are detrimental to a healthy society.

The Alliance has its origins in two organizations founded by Albert Benjamin Simpson in 1887 in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, in the United States, The Christian Alliance, which concentrated on domestic missions, and The Evangelical Missionary Alliance, which focused on overseas missions.[1] These two organizations merged in 1897 to form the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
